Sound Geology was established in 2011 to provide Bellingham and nearby areas with premium geological services for reasonable rates. From building a new home to creating a subdivision, we help our clients have safe and successful projects!

We've completed over 1,500 evaluations, so there's a good chance that we can help with your project, too.

We would be happy to provide you with a free estimate for projects that qualify, and there are no extra charges for work during the evening or weekend!

Our service range includes areas that are within approximately 45 miles of Bellingham, Washington.

David Jellum, LEG

David owns and operates Sound Geology and is a Licensed Engineering Geologist (WA No. 2861) with over 20 years of experience. He earned a B.S. in geology at Western Washington University in 2004 and has lived in Bellingham since 1995.

The beautiful landscapes of the Pacific Northwest helped spark his interest in geology and his passion for the outdoors. In his free time, David loves camping, backpacking, fishing and crabbing, rock hounding, gold panning, exploring new places and eating tasty foods with his wife and son.
