Sound Geology was established in 2011 to provide our community with premium services for reasonable prices. From building a new home to creating a subdivision, we help our clients have safe and successful projects.

Our service range includes areas within approximately 40 miles of Bellingham, Washington. We've completed evaluations for over 1,500 projects, so there's a good chance that we can help you, too. We would be happy to provide you with a free estimate, and there are no extra charges for work during the evening or weekend! Sound Geology is covered by general and professional liability insurance.

David Jellum, LEG

David owns and operates Sound Geology and is a Licensed Engineering Geologist (WA No. 2861). He earned a B.S. in geology at Western Washington University in 2004 and has lived in Bellingham since 1995. The beautiful landscapes of the Pacific Northwest helped spark his interest in geology and his passion for the outdoors. In his free time, David loves camping, backpacking, fishing and crabbing, rock hounding, gold panning, exploring new places and eating tasty food with his wife and son.
